Many of our clients purchased land and designed homes before meeting with a builder. For everyone involved, this method is a waste of time and money. Unfortunately, most of those requesting estimates were unable to construct the home of their dreams. They had invested in land and designed their home without realistic expectations of what the project would cost.

We realized early on that customers would benefit greatly from experienced and knowledgeable assistance. For example, it would have been advantageous for a client to receive assistance in selecting a property that best meets their needs, while keeping their budget in mind. Everyone, regardless of size, has a budget. Certain properties may have significant expenses unknown to someone who does not have experience in home building, which can lead to costly site development, as well as other issues such as flood insurance, etc., which can be pricey and reduce the overall budget for the home itself. This is also true for renovations and remodeling. Understanding the costs involved is the first step.

We can help narrow down the lot selection, renovation ideas, or approach, and point our customers in the right direction to allow the most build or renovation for the budget, but we can also help with the design process. We have started implementing what is known as a "Pre-Construction Agreement." This agreement brings us, as a builder, into the process at an early stage.

We've seen this process repeatedly help many more customers get the home or remodel they want, and it's been a success in assisting clients to spend their time and money more wisely.
